Are You A Loser-- Like These Guys?
Nobody likes to be, or be called, a "loser." But wait... just take alook at the following list of losers-maybe being one of them isn't so bad after all:
Dr. Suess (million selling author) had his first children's book rejected by 23 seperate publishers.
General Douglas McArthur was refused admission to the United States Military Academy at West Point not once, but two times.
Chicago Bull's mega-super-star and culteral icon Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basket ball team.
Young inventor Chester Carlson, took his innovative idea to 20 different corporations and was turned down by everyone. Seven years later, the then unknown Haloid company said "Yes." Today Haloid is known as Xerox.
Johnny Unitas, the Hall of Fame quarterback, was considered too small to play football by Notre Dame.
Oscar winner Woody Allen flunked motion picture production at both City College of New York and New York University. He also failed English at NYU. Perhaps losing, like beauty, is simply in the visionary "eyes" of the beholder. Or, at least, losing is just a brief stop on the journey of winning!
